Pocket cloth diaper
Blümchen® cloth diaper - pocket diaper
Pocket diapers consist of a waterproof outer layer sewn with a lining. The absorbent inserts are put between the lining fabric and the outer membrane, and the space between them is accessible via a pocket opening at the back.
Features of the Blümchen® pocket diaper StayDry:
Application: first shorten the diaper using the snaps - size XS for newborns - maximum shortening. Then follows Gr. S, Gr. M and for Gr. L the snaps simply remain open. Then place the diaper with the outside on the changing table. Place 1-2 absorbent pads flat into the diaper pocket. For babies who feel more comfortable with a natural fibre surface, a natural fibre absorbent pad (bamboo or organic cotton) can be placed directly at the lining.
Place a sheet of disposable liner on the diaper, making sure that it does not overlap the edges. Fold it, if necessary, in width. Now place your baby on the diaper and close it with the snaps or velcro. The back elastic should be placed at the waistband and should fit without too much pressure.
PUL outer membrane (99% polyester, 1% polyurethane): the waterproof outer layer is made of PUL, highly breathable, supple and absolutely rustle-free. The PUL is very soft to the touch and leaves hardly any marks. Washable at 40°C. Do not use a tumble dryer for the cover as there is a risk of overheating.
WASHING: use a detergent that is as enzyme-free as possible with a soap content of less than 15%. Take the specified dosage and rinse thoroughly. The diaper is washable at 40°C, at 60°C the life of the elastic cuffs is reduced. If waterproof pants are washed with the inserts, please note the washing machine's load capacity for waterproof fabrics/functional fabrics. Washing pants and interlinings separately leads to better washing results with lower energy and detergent consumption.
Boiling is not possible. Please do not soak or leave damp for days. The diapers should not be stored in the diaper pail for longer than 2 days, otherwise there is a risk of mold growth.
DRYING: please dry the diaper on the line, preferably in the sun. For ecological reasons, do not use a tumble dryer. If a tumble dryer is unavoidable, please do not dry completely. Complete drying increases the temperature in the dryer to over 100°C, damaging the PUL and elastic cuffs.
I recommend 20 diapers for newborns and 15 diapers for babies who no longer have a nursing chair.
Supplement this diaper at night with an absorbent 2-panty system, such as the Blümchen bamboo diaper.
